I was given the opportunity to purchase this .5 bottle of pomegranate oil at a reduced price.  They wanted me to sample it and give my unbiased opinion.  I received no compensation for my opinions and review.

The first bottle I was sent smelled rancid and was all globbed in the eye dropper and would not come out.  Not sure what happened to it.  I contacted the company and they were very quick to send me out a replacement.  I highly recommend them for their customer support.

I use it as a carrier oil with my essential oils.  I have not been using long enough to notice any difference, but I have read that pomegranate is very good for the skin -- so I have great hopes!! LOL!!

The bottle is not large -- only .5 oz, but it does not take a whole lot if you are just using it on your face.  If you are using it on your hair it will of course go quicker.

At the rate I use it though I would say it will last me a month.

In my opinion this is a bit on the pricey side for only .5 oz. at $14.99 shipped on Amazon

I was sent a generous 4 oz bottle of this cream for free to sample and give my unbiased opinion and review.  All opinions are mine.

I have very sensitive - dry skin.  Most lotions will cause me to break out, turn red or just cause my face to burn.

This lotion is VERY NICE!!  It is very thick -- almost like butter.  In fact that is what it reminded me of when I opened it except for the color which is white.  It is very thick though.  A little goes a long ways so this lotion will last me a good month at least and possibly 2 months.  I have been using it for a little over a week now.

This moisturized my face and also I felt a slight tightening effect.  I am 46, so my lines and wrinkles are not going to disappear overnight -- they didn't get there overnight - LOL!!  There was no greasy feeling whatsoever!!  It soaked in right away.  My skin just drank it up!!

I had no adverse effects at all which I would say was attributed to the awesome ingredients in it.

Bulgarian Lavender Oil with a Glass Dropper 4 oz. #fblavender

 

 I was sent this generous 4 oz bottle of Bulgarian Lavender Oil to try as a sample so that I could review it and give my unbiased opinion.  I was not compensated and all opinions are mine.

This is a generous 4 oz bottle of therapeutic grade Bulgarian Lavender Oil.  First off I am a huge fan of essential oils and Lavender has been an essential oil (no pun intended) in my household for the past 20 years!!

My first life changing experience with lavender was when my baby girl (I think if I remember correctly she was around 1.5-2 years old) got bit by a recluse spider.  The bite was not responding to anything and it was looking like it was going to turn into a really bad situation.  The bite was literally eating her flesh away and it was getting bigger and bigger.  Nothing I was given was working so I decided to look for something on my own.  Ran across an article about lavender oil and immediately went out and purchased some!!  It worked!!  I saw results within just a few hours and within just a few days it has totally closed over and the skin started filling in.

Dog Bowls 32 Ounce Made of Stainless Steel Review #zitriom

ok, here goes another doggie item!!

I received these 2 stainless steel bowls for my dogs for free as a sample to review and give my unbiased opinion on.  All opinions are mine and my doggies!!

These are very nice -- easy to clean.  I have 3 dogs, so even though I have water pictured here I use them both for feed bowls.  The water bowl is not big enough for all 3 -- they love their water!!

They have a nice rubber bottom to keep them from sliding all over the floor.

My little boy prefers these over his "old" bowl for his food because he likes to lay down when he eats. -- Yes, he totally enjoys his dinner time!!  His old bowl was higher and would put pressure on his neck when he would stick his head in the bowl.  With these it is right there within easy reach.  I keep them both filled all the time and my babies love them!!

Chillaxed 2-in-1 Pet Groomer for Long Hair #chillaxedpetgroomer

I received this brush glove for free to try in exchange for my honest unabiased review.  All opinions are mine as well as my babies!!

I have 3 fur babies that I was able to try it on and it was an immediate hit!!  They love to be groomed with it.  Even though it is a brush they react differently to it than they do when we use a brush.  I think it is because they relax and think we are just petting them and not coming at them with something that looks like it has teeth!!

When I pick it up they actually come running and argue over who is going to get brushed and it actually becomes a comical wrestling match for them competing.

Of course one command from me and they will go their way except for the one that I need to groom.

This works very nice and the hair is easy to remove from the combs.

I really like this and go for it now instead of their old brush -- which they did not care for.

VonKitchen Handheld Electric Milk Frother #cappuccinoart

My daughter has been begging me to get a milk frother for her for all of her little small desserts and specialties that she doesn't want to pull out the big mixer.  She likes to make her own homemade cool whip and this seemed liked it would do the job.

It is made of stainless steel with a stainless whisker and is pretty quiet when in use.

It runs on 2 AA batteries - which are not included with the unit when purchased, so make sure you have some purchased so you can whip up your goodies right away when it arrives.

I was sent this frother for free to sample so that I could post an unbiased review and opinion.  All opinions are mine - and my daughters in this instance.

According to my daughter the VonKitchen milk frother is an awesome little product!  First off itsstored on a stand which sets nicely on your counter top and holds your frother very securely when not in use.  No long searches through your kitchen drawers for this little guy!  The frother itself is also great.  I mixed up a glass of Coconut Dreams coconut milk and it frothed beautifully in less than a minute.  Con -- I did also try this with heavy whipping cream but that however did not work (which I don't actually think its supposed to)  It worked in the beginning stages, but once it got thick it was unable to continue working as well as the big mixer.  Overall I absolutely love this product and would highly recommend it.

Kuuk Silicone Oven Gloves (Pair) #ovenmitts

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these oven mitts.  I have thrown all of my old ones away and I am replacing them with these. 

You get 2 mitts and a free gift which my gift was a matching trivet hot pad for my pans when I set them on the counter.

These silicone oven mitts are lined inside which add just a touch of security when you are reaching into a HOT oven.  I owned some other silicone mitts that were not lined and even though they work well -- there is always that insecurity about getting burnt.  You don't have that with these.

They come in several fun colors!!  I now own a lime green pair and a very pretty blue pair.  My mom loved them so much she also had me order her a lime green pair.

This is a nice heavy duty grater in comparison to the handheld ones that I have owned in the past.  The red part on it is like a hard plastic on the handle and a soft rubbery material on the part that would be sitting on your plate or cutting board.  The rubbery part at the bottom is removable for washing.

It seems like a good grade of stainless steel.  Graters I have owned in the past started showing signs of rust within a month and I always had to pitch them.  This one is not -- so far.....

I don't use these for what they were designed to do -- so think outside the box when it comes to these.  I use these for crafting mats!!  Love Love Love them for this.  I have a heat press that I use to hot fix crystals and make t-shirts.  I use one under my design and 2 on top of my design and they work absolutely perfect.

I can heat set all of my crystals in 1 shot without endangering my fabric.  These protect them perfect!!!  I have my heat set on 250 - 300 degrees when doing this without any issues.

This is a really handy light.  I keep it on my desk to use at night after my husband has gone to bed so that the office light does not shine into the bedroom and keep him awake.

It has 2 sticky pads on the back so that it can be mounted, but I just prop it up against my computer and it works great.  This way if I need it elsewhere I can take it with me.

It has a tilt Function where you can swivel the light to the angle you need it.  Measures 6.89inch Length by 1.77inch Width.  It is touch Operated and has 4 bright white LED lights.  It runs on 3 AAA batteries (which were not included).



It has 2 little sensor buttons on the front that you just rub your finger across

It lights almost instantly and is actually quite bright.  This would be a great purse size even for reading in the car or if you get out somewhere and the lighting is not the best.

I was sent this little light as a sample for free to try it out and see what my opinion is of it.  All opinions are my own honest thoughts.  I think it is a great little light and I would recommend for anyone that has a use for a touch operated battery light.

Pure Organic Shea Butter #CBSheaButter

 I have never used Shea Butter except for products that had already been scented etc.  I had never used just the straight 100% Shea Butter until I received this one.

This is extremely moisturizing on the skin.  It is Virgin Organic Unrefined Shea Butter.  Comes in a very generous sized container that contains 14 oz of product.  According to the company the container it is in is BPA free.

It runs about $14.00 shipped on Amazon.

I haven't made any soaps or hair products out of it.  I have only used it as a lotion on my skin.  I do like to add a couple of drops of essential oils to it, because I don't care for it's straight natural scent.

Coming straight out of the jar it almost has a crumbly consistency.  However, rub it together just a little between your fingers and you have a really nice consistency for smoothing into your dry skin.  It does not leave my skin greasy like coconut oil does and in my opinion this actually has more of a moisturizing effect on my skin than coconut oil does. 

I am anxious to try this when I sun bathe.  Just have not had a chance to give that a try yet, but I think it will work well!!

I was sent a bottle for free by Cornucopia as a sample to try and give my opinion on.  All opinions are mine.  I really really like this and do recommend for anyone with very dry or sensitive skin.  I have very sensitive dry skin and am allergic to a lot of lotions because of the fragrances they put in them (at least that is why I think they beak me out).

This felt wonderful on my skin and I can add whatever oil I want to use with it.

HealthyWiser Ketone Test Strips #HealthywiserPH

This is another item I was excited to get to try.  I was sent a bottle of these for free to try in exchange for taking my time to try them and give my review and honest opinion.

 I am dieting right now so they could not have come at a better time.  When your body goes into ketosis is when you are burning the most fat (so I have been told -- I am by no means an expert).  These help you keep track to know when you are in ketosis based on your diet.  For me this helped me know what kind of foods that I could eat without it effecting my diet negatively.

These felt like a plastic - not paper and I had no issues with them falling apart.  They are a light off white color before use.

Very easy to use.  You can either pee in a cup and dip the strip or pee right on the strip.  I chose to just pee on the strip.

I had nothing to verify that the readings it was giving me were correct, but it was easy to monitor the colors and tell on the side of the bottle just where I was at (according to their strips).

I will say this -- the times I hit the higher end of the mid level ketosis range I was literally freezing which someone told me was a sign of ketosis also -- so that was verification to some degree that the strips were portraying accurate levels.

If you were a diabetic and using these to monitor that -- I would want to make sure they were accurate since that is way more critical than just using them for dieting.

According to the company their strips have tested to be 99% accurate -- I would recommend comparing them with your doctors results just to make sure.

This is a very generous size bottle.  There were 100 strips in the jar and mine showed a 2 year shelf life.

Ok, everyone knows my girls love to crochet, so I was super excited to get the opportunity to get them another set of needles to try.  They are always on the search for that "perfect set" of needles.

BUT!!!!

So she grabbed another needle.  That one bent as well.  In the colored ones, the 4 smaller ones definitely would not hold up.  The larger ones did not bend, but she said they did not feel solid in her hand (she has been crocheting for about 15 years so she does know what she is doing).

The only ones that seemed like they were going to hold up to any amount of crocheting were the silver ones.

The bad thing is I contacted the company back and told them what was going on

2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm and 3.5mm bent almost instantly. The 2 mm when she went to straighten it broke :(

I never got a single response back from them.

So, I have to give no stars for customer service and have to knock off stars for the poor quality of all of the colored needles.  I definitely would not purchase this item unless they make some serious changes with their production and create a stronger needle even at the $6.99 price point.  

I read other reviews on Amazon and people were totally happy with them.  However, based on my personal experience and no response from customer service this was not a good experience for me.

Calm Coloring Book #CBColoringBook

I Love to color.  I was super excited when I received this coloring book for free to review.

I love the concept.  However the pages are coated so regular crayons do not work.  I love using regular crayons.  I think it stems from long hours as a child coloring.  I tried crayons, but it does not allow for shading etc and my picture came out Blah!! :(

So, I will have to get some better colored pencils or markers to use in this and I have not had a chance to get any.

The pages are super thick so I am presuming markers would not soak through, but I had none to use so have not gotten to verify this yet

Approx 30 pages gives you a lot of detailed coloring.

While I was not totally satisfied with this because I personally like to use crayons,

someone who uses markers or colored pencils would probably be totally happy.

I was given the opportunity to try this for free so that I could review it.  All opinions are totally my own honest opinions.

I have a spot in my foyer or entry way of my house that the designer did not see fit to put any lighting in.  I have never quite figured that one out.  Extremely poor design in my opinion, because you have to walk half way across the living room to get to a light switch.

We have looked at different kinds of lights to put in there and I had settled for a lamp on my desk.  However the lamp took up more space than I had to spare so it got shoved aside and we were back at square one!!

I had been looking at lights online and was leaning towards solar or battery operated just due to the fact I don't want a bunch of wires right by the entry way where everyone can trip over them and the dogs jerk the wires out of the walls when they decide to rush the door!!

I was contacted by Flora and was given the opportunity to try out one of their motion sensor lights.  They are a new company and are just getting their products out in the public eye and wanted me to try it out and tell them what I thought of them.

My review is totally unbiased and all opinions are my own.  They asked for a review good or bad.

I am happy to say I am very pleased with this. 

It is approx 14 1/4" long x approx 1" wide -- so nice and compact

It comes with a sticky strip on the back that can be removed and applied to wherever you would like to mount it.  I was initially going to put it right above my front door, but it is motion activated and that did not work for me with dogs in the house constantly running around.  I have 2 decorator windows in my entry way and I ended up just propping it into the corner of one of them and it works perfect.  It comes on anytime we pass that window or go near the door, but the dogs do not set it off there.  I did not have to use the sticky strip because it sets very nicely right in the corner.

Another great aspect to this little light is it has a built in battery that is rechargeable with any micro usb to usb plug in

If you have an area like mine that does not condone proper lighting with adequate plugs etc, this could be the way to go for you.

At this point it is still too early for me to know if it is what I would call a good price value because I do not know how long it is going to hold up.  Right now I am really liking it!!
