Walgreens Scenario

This post is thanks to Mojo Savings who had a really good Walgreens Scenario so I thought I would share

Here is a great money maker at Walgreens starting tomorrow, 10/17!

Buy 6 Nivea for Men – $2.50 ea
4 Glade Jar Candles – $3.00 ea
1 Blistex Lip Ointment – $2.59 ea
= $29.59

Use:

6 of the $3/1 Nivea for Men RP 10/17 (get them from neighbors and family)
1 of the $2/2 Glade Jar Candles from the Walgreens October Coupon Booklet (will deduct $2)
2 of the BOGO Free Jar Candles from SS 9/26
1 of the $1.50/2 Glade Jar Candles from the All You Sept issue, good Housekeeping Oct issue, Woman’s Day Oct issue or printable here
= 9¢ oop + tax and get a $2.59 RR for the blistex
Final Price = $2.50 profit!!

Now, if you have problems with cashiers/managers that say you actually have to BUY the candle (ie pay full price) before you can get the other for free, I have a solution. First, let me say that argument goes against their coupon policy, but sometimes you can’t get them to agree (like the assistant manager at the Independence Walgreens this week -- which I have contacted Corporate to find out what is their actual policy).

Do this modified deal:

= $29.59

2 – BOGO Free Jar Candles 9/26SS
1 - $1.50/2 Glade Jar Candles All You, Sept 10; Good Housekeeping, Oct. ’10; Woman’s Day, Oct ’10 or HERE
Pay: $3.09 OOP + tax get $2.59RR for Blistex
Final: $0.50 for all.
