This was an item that brought squeals of delight from my girls when I got them in to review.

TCP Global Corporation contacted me and asked if I would be willing to try out their product in exchange for a review.  I was excited to do so.

To say the least I was pleasantly surprised when I got the big box in.  I had not read the description very well and had scanned through the photos and totally missed the fact that there were 6 canvases of each size in this set!!

Anyhow, I was happy -- my girls were happy -- which made me MORE happy!!

The canvases are really nice and I will definitely be purchasing additional in the future.  They have a nice area for your to fill in all of the pertinent information about your project on the back.

 Just used the first one today for a little bit different project than normal, but it made for a really nice base to the Quilling project we were working on.  We mounted the completed project onto the canvas and it worked perfect for a display base!!

 

Looking forward to trying them with paints!!!  Also plan to make a tablet case and use 2 of these for the supporting front and back layers.  So think outside the box when it comes to these canvases -- Paint is not the only thing that works on them!!!

BEAUTYOILS CO Squalane Face Oil Moisturizer #beautyoils

This is another great oil that I was sent to try in exchange for a review. 

I have never used squalane before.  This is in an amber plastic bottle with a pop cap lid.  I did have problems squeezing the bottle.  In fact I was unable to and had to shake my bottle to get it to come out which was fine.

 My skin just drinks this up -- very quickly.  It soaks in and does not leave me feeling greasy at all.  Because my skin is so dry I do use quite a bit so my little 1 oz bottle is almost gone.

I like the idea that I am not putting harmful chemicals on my skin.  I even used this on my face first thing in the morning and it did not look greasy at all.  I will re-emphasize that my skin is very dry though.  If your skin is more on the oily side this may not work for you, but it works good for me.

SAPO Bamboo Charcoal Soap - Natural USA Handmade #saposoap

I have something a little different to share with you today.  I was sent this Bamboo Charcoal soap from SAPO Soap in exchange for an honest review.

The ingredients in this are Awesome!!!

Activated Bamboo Charcoal, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil, Shea Butter, Sea Salt, Oatmeal Powder, Grapefruit Essential Oil.

I had no breakouts or sensitivities to my skin.  It lathers very well.

I was not a big fan of the scent and it did make me sneeze -- every time I used it.  I am not even sure what  the scent was that I was smelling.  It just immediately started tickling my nose and the sneezes ensued and made my nose run :(

I do have a pretty sensitive nose though -- so this could just be issues with me -- LOL!!

Because of the issues with the smell I will not be purchasing again as it runs $10.99 per bar and that is a bit pricey for me if I am not 100% satisfied with something.

Sharing with you another skin product today.

Healthywiser LLC contacted me and asked me to try their product in exchange for an honest review.

I like the smell on this one.  It smells - refreshing, almost like a very slight citrus cinnamon scent which I do not see either of those ingredients in it so not sure where it is getting its smell - LOL.  It is a very mild smell and not over powering at all!!

Ok, just read through the ingredient list above that I took off of their website.  I guess my eyes are getting bad enough that the word "cassia" did not jump out at me when I read the bottle - so that explains the cinnamon type smell I described above.

According to the bottle this is 98% Natural and 72% Organic -- so lots of goodies for your skin in this one

This comes in a amber glass bottle with an eye dropper.  It dries pretty quickly.  It is a little on the runny side, but not near as runny as some I have tried. 

This does not drip to your elbow when you go to apply it to your face.  My face feels very smooth once applied and I really like the overall smell and feel to this.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with the above listed ingredients and I can't wait to see what long term results this will have.  I use about 6 drops on my face twice daily.

Highly Rated Silicone BBQ Gloves-Red #siliconeglovesred

ok, I am totally eliminating my "old" pot holders that are stained and falling apart.

I was sent these bright red BBQ mitts to try and I am impressed.

These are not lined inside like another pair that I reviewed recently.  I do prefer the lined pair -- however these work great as well.  The lining us just a personal preference with me.  These are a bit large on my hands.  I used them to pull hot bread pans from the oven among many other dishes and I never got burnt once!!  They really do work well!!

They also work good for tossing on the counter and setting your hot pans on.

I definitely recommend these to anyone that is looking to replace old oven mitts.  These wash up really easy as well!!

The only con I had is they were a bit big on my hands.  If you have a guy that helps you out on the grill or in the kitchen -- you will want to have a pair of these around!!

Andre Lorent Face Cream #AndreLorent

I was contacted recently by André Lorent and asked to review their face cream in exchange for a review on my blog.

This is a nice -- very thick -- non greasy formula.  It feels extremely moisturizing on my skin and I like it a lot.  Directions say to apply in the morning and evening to clean dry skin.  I have only been applying it once a day, but my skin feels very hydrated.  I have been using this in conjunction with a Hyaluronic Acid Vit C Serum as well.

My skin is usually very sensitive and I experienced no breakouts, redness or burning with this.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum With Vitamin C #CSCSVitaminC

This is the 3rd product I have tried from this company.

 The serum is thicker than most Vit C Serums that I have tried and I like that. I hate it when a serum is so runny that it is hard to get it to your face fast enough without it running down to your elbows.

 It does not dry sticky and leaves my face feeling smooth.  I have not been using long enough to see any long term results, but I do like the way it feels!!

High-end moisturizer repairs skin cells and hydrates the skin using the power of Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid.

It is supposed to improve wrinkles, roughness, and appearance of skin.  Time will tell

VITAMIN C SERUM by Defy Naturals #defynaturals

This comes in a glass bottle with a nice eye dropper. The serum is on the thinner side, but still goes on nicely.

It is very moisturizing.   I have noticed my pores in my face seem to be shrinking.  Fine lines are still there.  As I have said in the past though they didn't appear overnight -- they are not going to disappear overnight.

I have very sensitive skin and I had no issues with this serum.  It left my skin feeling very moisturized.

Cons -- The only cons I had is it stays sticky for a little while (even states on the bottle that it takes 3-5 minutes to dry). Seems to take a bit to dry. It was not a huge issue with me because I don't usually wear makeup. If I did wear foundation or anything like that though I could see where this could be a delay in getting my face done.

US Art Supply 12ml Acrylic Tube Artist Paint Set #usartsupply

Good Morning -- Today I am going to share with you an Acrylic Paint set that was sent to me to try and review.  Because my girls are more "craftsy" than I am - I turned the paints over to them to try. Here is what they had to say.

First off I want to say I am really liking these acrylic paints.

They are very smooth and blend well together. The tubes were fairly easy to open with the point from the lid, although I did have a few spurt out once the tube got punctured - so keep this in mind when opening them to avoid unnecessary mess.

• Lemon Yellow
• Yellow Ochre
• Vermilion
• Crimson Red
• Hooker's Green
• Lamp Black
• Raw Umber
• Burnt Sienna
• Cobalt Blue
• Ultramarine Blue

 I wouldn't recommend using these in a area that isn't ventilated well. They do have a chemical smell-- not too strong -- just a little bit. I wouldn't want anyone to get high using these (who knows what your painting might turn out to be :P)

Here is an example of a painting that I made with these paints and a blending gel from folk art.  This is just on card stock and I am anxious to give them a whirl on canvas.

These have been very easy to use and the colors clean off the brushes very nicely.  The paint is water soluable when wet - which is a big plus!!

 I would highly recommend these paints to all beginner artists.

Con -- The odor -- so just use in a well ventilated area.

Midori Spring Ceremonial (Emerald) Matcha #midorispring

ok, this was a new one on me.  When Life & Food contacted me and asked if I would be willing to try their Matcha in exchange for a review I had to look it up to see what it was. 

I thought I stayed "up" on the new health fads that come along, but this one had escaped me.

I have been adding this to Tim's smoothie each day before work and also in the one he takes to work.  I don't add a lot, because it is what I would call "really green" and I didn't want it to overpower the flavor in his drink.  I didn't tell Tim that I had added a new ingredient to his smoothie - just added it :)

He had been on it a little over a week when he came home one night and I mentioned him laying down and taking a nap.  He said actually I don't know what is up with me -- I have not been tired.  Not even when I get up for work in the morning (he gets up an 3:30 in the morning and usually goes to bed between 9:30 and 10:00), so yeah -- he should be tired!!

I have tried it as just a tea -- and it would have to be an aquired taste on my part.  However in all fairness I do not like green tea......

I did taste this in Tim's smoothie and I didn't think it made it taste bad at all -- so if it helps him stay more alert -- that is a GOOD thing!!

This is a powder and comes in a small tin.  I added 1.5-2 teaspoons to Tims drink each morning

I have not been using this long enough to vouch for any of the above.  It does not feel sticky after application which is nice.  I can also feel a very slight tightening to my skin after application.  My skin is pretty sensitive and I have had no breakouts or redness from this product.

Con -- The only thing I have found annoying is the pump.  It likes to squirt clear across the room so you have to be careful when pumping it out.  I cannot just do it on my finger, because it will miss!!

 I pump it onto my hand and as you can see even in this picture it likes to shoot out quite a ways!!  I do find that annoying :(  -- that is my only complaint with this product.

Oleavine Therapeutic Soap Tea Tree Mint - #Oleavine

 

Hey Guys -- Lovin' the gorgeous weather we have had the last couple of days after all of the rain!!  I am not complaining about the rain -- I know there are a lot of areas that would be VERY GREATFUL for the rain for all the rain we just had.  I just LOVE the SUNSHINE!!

What I am sharing with you today is something I would have never thought I would have given a thumbs up!!!  I have never been one that liked anything with tea tree oil or Neem in it and guess what?!?!?!  This has both!!

This is a therapeutic body wash.  I will just say right off the bat -- I really really like this!!!!  It smells very refreshing and leaves you feeling really clean.  I even tried washing my hair with it -- although I must say it put a whole new meaning on "squeeky clean!!"  I am not sure it would be good for my hair to use it very often on it.  That is how "squeeky clean" it felt.

My daughter growing up had issues with eczema skin conditions.  So I have "endured" the occasional aromas of Neem oil (Ugh!!) and Tea Tree Oil (which is not near as bad as Neem, but not on my go to list -- except - go to the shower!!!!)

The company offers this in a variety of scents.  The one they sent me was Tea Tree Mint and I have to say even coming from someone who has never been a fan of Tea Tree Oil this is nice.

This soap does rather very well for as thin as it is!!

The cons -- 

•  This soap is very thin -- so you do have to be very careful when pouring it on your loufa so that it doesn't all end up on the shower floor

• The price -- I am a tight wad so this seemed really pricey to me at $16.95 for 12oz. -- However -- if you have someone in your household that suffers from skin conditions I could see where this would be a go to product in those circumstances.  I would definitely "go to" this quicker than I would order the Need in again for my daughter should hers ever flare up again!!

2 Lift Care Lemon Essential Oil 5x Extra Strength #Lemonoil

ok, one of my favorite things to try is essential oils.  I love using them for everything!!  I make cleaners out of them, burn them in diffusers, add them to my skin oils etc.

This one smells Soooooo yummy!!  It is 100% pure cold pressed oil from the rinds of fresh lemons.  I love when the girls use this in their mop water!!  The whole house just smells "FRESH"!!
